Fireworks Volunteer Recruits

Moral Supporter
I want to help, but I am not sure where I fit in? Maybe it is even just bringing water or food to the other volunteers 

Prepper
We normally meet about a week or two before and make sure everything is as expected and try to make everything as easy as we can for the Technicians. This includes cutting tops off of boxes for less debris, marking boxes with timing duration and other similar tasks. We will likely have multiple dates for this so even if you can make one we appreciate it. 

Buyer
We have our initial purchase in already, but as we have funds we will make additional purchases. No date determined yet, but last year we took about 4-5 trucks, SUVs and a Mini-Van to Phantom (40 min drive), but if you have a Prius we will take you 

Transporter
Jason Statham has nothing on us! He had a 9mm, and we got enough explosives to ummmm... well, we have a lot. This will consist of possibly two trips, the first is from a storage facility in Delaware the weekend before to the neighborhood, and the second is the day of to the site. If you ever wanted to drive around the green space and bike paths around  the lake though this is your excuse to do it! 

Those That Do All the Work and Get None of the Credit
Day of the show we need to do a lot of set up. This means setting up all the fireworks, securing the site, setting up safety equipment all while listening to bad music. This is the spot we could use the most help at! 

Hospitality
We have some goodies similar to what the event committee offered last year, but we need some help handing it out to the families and kids the night of the event and we have some vendors coming as well that just might need to know where to park. Probably just need 30 min of your time on the night of the show. Let's be honest, you're going to be up there anyway, and we won't ask what is in your cup :) 

Pyros
This is the most intimidating job, but by far the most fun! You get to be right by the action, and get the best view. Oh yeah, you also get to light off a crazy ton of fireworks.

Think you can do better? We would love your help then! This is our first year without training wheels and have been meeting since July 5th 2022 working on 2023 and trying to improve. You can be as involved as you like, but usually 3-4 meetings throughout the year, and a bunch of bad jokes via text. As long as you can put up with us we can put up with you lol
